The C6 was first used in Canada for use as a coaxial MG in the Leopard C1 main battle tank. Since then, it has been used in the Canadian Forces with the designation the C6 GPMG, it is used primarily as a platoon level support weapon. One C6 machine gun is assigned to each Rifle platoon. The C6 GPMG is also mounted on a variety of vehicles, including the LAV6 IFV, Leo2A6 MBT, and CH146 helicopter. In these vehicles, the C6 GPMGs are co-axially and pintle-mounted and used to provide fire support to the infantry or for local defence of the vehicle itself. Canada adopted a new version of C6 called C6A1 FLEX.
~ In-game description

The FN MAG is a general-purpose machine gun featured in Squad. It is available to multiple factions and features different sights and characteristics.

General Information[edit | edit source]

The FN MAG is a Belgian 7.62 mm general-purpose machine gun, designed in the early 1950s. It has been used by more than 80 countries, and it has been made under licence in several countries, including Argentina, Canada, Egypt, India and the United Kingdom.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

The FN MAG is available to three factions and features different sights depending on faction:

Role Faction Variant Sight Magazine Added in
Machine Gunner USArmy Flag.PNG US Army M240B + M145 Telescopic sight, fixed 3.4× 75 rounds Alpha 10.0[1]
GB flag.jpg British Army L7A2 GPMG Iron sights, ranging 100-1800m 75 rounds Alpha 11.0[2]
Flag of Canada.png Canadian Army C6A1 Iron sights, ranging 100-1800m 75 rounds Alpha 15.3[3]
  • The FN MAG lends itself to a defensive or at least stationary play style, falling between the more portable automatic rifles and the emplaced heavy machine guns.
  • All variants of the weapon have a deployable bipod.
  • The FN MAG round box holds 75 rounds. The PKM round box on the other hand holds 100 rounds.

Tips[edit | edit source]

  • Like its ex-Soviet Russian rival, the PKM, the FN MAG is very difficult to control while shooting because of its heavy caliber. As a result, it is recommended to deploy the bipod before firing.
