The Ural-4320 is a transport and logistics vehicle added to Squad during Alpha A9. The Ural 4320 is a general purpose off-road 6x6 truck that was used by the Soviet Army from 1977 to 1991, when the Soviet Army dissolved. The Soviet Army's successor, the Russian Ground Forces (RGF), continued to use the vehicle in its previous role and eventually phased out the older Ural-375D.
General Information[edit | edit source]
The Ural 4320 is a general purpose off-road 6x6 truck designed and manufactured by the Ural Automotive Plant since 1976. The Ural 4320 is designed to succeed its predecessor, the Ural-375D, created in 1961 by the same company. The Ural 4320 is a general purpose vehicle, meaning that it can have a large amount of uses, such as a fire engine, box truck, military transport, etc. The Ural 4320 is adopted by the Soviet Army one year later after it was designed and was in service till 1991, when the Soviet Army dissolved. The Soviet Army's successor, the RGF, later used the Ural 4320 for military transport, logistics, and a launching platform for the BM-21 "Grad" Rocket Launcher since 1991.
The Ural 4320 weighs 8 tonnes (7.87 long tons, 8.82 short tons), and is 7.37 m long (24.18 ft), 2.5 m wide (8.2 ft), 2.87 m high (9.42 ft). This vehicles has the same armor as its predecessor, the Ural-375D, and the YaMZ-740 v8 diesel engine whose power is 210 hp. It can reach up to a speed of 85 km/h (52.82 mph).
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The Ural 4320 is only used by the RGF faction.
- The Ural has no weapons and must be protected by other vehicles if it wishes to stay alive in a combat zone.
- The Ural 4320 has weak to non-existent armour. Anti-Armour weapons will do serious damage, and massed small arms fire will kill all those aboard. The Engine can also be disabled by dumping a machine gun belt into the front grill.
- The In-game differences between the vehicle and its predecessor are few. It has a slightly different front end and has a more powerful engine. This gives it slightly better acceleration and top speed.
- For more information, see "Loading and Unloading Supplies" section of Logistic System.
Variants[edit | edit source]
Transport[edit | edit source]
The Ural-4320 Transport variant is best for fast movement of a squad to different places around the map.
Logistics[edit | edit source]
The Ural-4320 Logistics variant exchanges its passenger capacity for carrying supplies to squads to build forward operating bases.
