Due to its simplicity much like the AK and the availability of its ammunition, it has proved popular with rebel and insurgent groups. The PPSh-41 box magazine holds 35 rounds, and the drum magazine holds 71 rounds.
- The Insurgents Raider kit can carry and switch between two types of magazines in battle.
Can be fired on automatic and semi-automatic.
The sights for the PPSh-41 include iron sights only.
The PPSh-41 has a unique damage model and ballistic performance.
- The iron sight allows the user to zero the rifle for different ranges (from 100m to 200m).
- It shares its damage and range profile with Vz. 61 Škorpion, but with a much faster rate of fire, higher accuracy, and a faster muzzle velocity.
- The 1000 rounds per minute rate of fire is one of the highest in the game. It can output serious firepower in close-quarter combat but makes the gun more difficult to control.

The PPSh-41 is a Soviet blowback action, open-bolt submachine gun. The PPSh-41 was designed by Georgy Shpagin in 1941 and was adopted by the Soviet Army in the same year. The PPSh-41 was created to replace the PPD-40 submachine gun since it was deemed too expensive and difficult to manufacture, especially in large numbers since the Soviet Union was at war at the time. The PPSh-41 was extensively used during World War II and the Korean War. The PPSh-41 ended its military service in the Soviet Army sometime in the 1960s. The PPSh-41 was eventually used by militia forces and insurgents, even to this day.

The abbreviation PPSh from PPSh-41 stands for pistolet-pulemyot Shpagina (Пистолет-пулемёт Шпагина) which means "Shpagin's machine pistol". 41 stands for the year the PPSh-41 was designed, which is 1941.
A common nickname for the PPSh-41 is pepesha (папаша), which comes from the three letter prefix PPSh and means "daddy" in Russian.
